How to prepare for moving day
Simple steps that make the day calmer for you and the crew.
Sort before you pack
Go room by room and decide what is coming with you. Sell, give away or recycle the rest before moving day. Fewer things means fewer boxes to pack, carry and unpack.
Pack and label with a plan
Pack one room at a time and write the room and a short list on each box. Keep heavy items in small boxes. Set aside a bag with chargers, medicine, papers and a change of clothes so it stays with you.
Get both homes ready
Check parking and elevator rules at both addresses and book any time slots you need. Clear paths through hallways and doors. Make sure someone can let the crew in at each end and knows where things go.
